The differences between the Rumination rate at the Robotic Milking system management and the conventional Milking system is very clear at this samples.
At the Robotic Milking system each cow has its “personal day routine” of milking and eating. At the conventional Milking system all the cows are milked almost at the same time, goes to the feed bunk at the same time, etc.
Analyzing the hourly Rumination rate of the herd or the group can provide useful information to the farmer regarding the dairy farm management, weather influence, feeding times, herd appetite and more.
